gone: the irretrievable yarn chronicle 

the elders have designated you as their only hope. you need to find the magical balls of yarn and bring them back!

made in about 24 hours for the 127th mini jam.

the theme was cats, and the limitation was to use the supplied 6-color palette.

 

controls

• wasd to move
• keyboard or mouse for menu and intro dialog

known bugs / ran out of time for literally everything

• the web version is likely not to launch properly, depending on which browser you use. you can use the windows and linux downloads if you face issues with web.
• there's a small chance that the ball of yarn on level two might be positioned outside of the level. (woops!)
• settings and credits in main menu are disabled because i couldn't squeeze them in properly.
• there's no audio volume control, no remappable keys, etc.
• level design took one for the team, as you'll see.
• i wanted to implement more of the story into the gameplay, but that also went straight out of the window.
• still had fun making my first project in godot4!
